In recent production consulting work, Python and Django have been a major part of my day-to-day backend work. The useful part is not only knowing the framework. It is working inside an existing application where API behavior, integrations, data access, and release safety all have to stay understandable.
That work sits in the practical parts of backend maintenance: changing behavior without surprising callers, keeping integration edges clear, reading the data model before changing it, and making updates small enough to review and release safely.
